The Department of Administration/Supplies of the Office of the State Auditor-General is the hub upon which every activity in the office rotates. The staffs that mans the administration are professional Administrative officers supported by the Executive class..
The Administrative Department ensures that rules and regulations are brought to bear in the Management activities and in the daily running of the office. The Department is headed by Assistant Director (Admin). There are various divisions, sections and units that make up the department. Some of them are:
- Open Registry
- Secret Registry
- Establishment/Pension section
- Supplies Division
- Transport Unit
- Security Unit
- Staff Training Section
The Department handles recruitment of Junior Staff and administered discipline through Junior Staff Management Committee in line with the extant rules of the Service. It processes the promotion and disciplinary cases of Senior Staff through Senior Staff Management Committee to Audit Service Commission and Civil Service Commission, respectively. It also processes in-service training, study leave with and without pay through Departmental Selection Board of the Office of the State Auditor-General to Department of Establishments for approval among other duties.
